In Russia, the jaw’s harp is very popular among shamans, who believe that the jaw’s harp can connect you to the world of spirits, and the lovers of shamanic music. In the Soviet Union times, this small instrument was even prohibited due to its association with shamanism.
Nowadays. the jaw’s harp, while still being in the category of more exotic musical instruments, is slowly getting deserved recognition and interest from people all over the world.
