Yesterday on May the 11th we were delighted and very grateful to have an opportunity to do a pop-in shop in one of Barclays’ banks. We brought along our gong, which attracted lots of attention and occasional “GONG!” coming from the passing-by pedestrians. Many people were shocked, some laughed, some were very interested. Throughout the whole day in Barclays, which started at 11am and finished at 5pm, we managed to speak to more than 50 people, and also play the gong (as gently as possible, taking into account the circumstances) for about 6 hours! We were not surprised that after we have come home, we were still buzzing from the effect of the gong vibrations…
We are very thankful for the Barclays customers who took time to come talk to us about what we do and for your positive feedback – your support meant a lot to us, we felt much more confident and open when with your interest and words of encouragement. We are also very thankful for such an unusual experience which taught us to always be open to new opportunities and possibilities, and always have confidence in what we do. We believe that this openness and strong belief in our work played a big role in making it possible for us to bang a gong in a Barclays’ bank. We are immensely grateful to Barclays and its managers for giving us an opportunity to do a pop-in shop in one of their branches and for their support of the community. We are very grateful for providing an opportunity for businesses like us to tell about ourselves in one of your branches and share the awareness about our work.
If you have a business account with Barclays, we would recommend to enquire at your local branch whether it is possible to do a pop-in shop. Playing the gong in one of Barclays’ banks was one of the most amazing and unusual experiences we have ever had in our lives, and we definitely recommend you to try it!
