Heart Chakra Workshop: Yoga, Chanting, and Gong Bath

Our workshop is designed to work on the heart chakra and physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental aspects related to this chakra. Suitable gong vibrations will accompany gentle yoga postures; the gong should encourage the body and mind to relax and let-go.
We will encourage you to open the heart space and grow feelings of self-acceptance and unconditional love. Cultivating a sense of unconditional love gives us the opportunity to tap into unique spiritual gifts.

This workshop will layer different spiritually uplifting modalities to achieve a more profound effect. We have designed these modalities to compliment each other and take participants on a profound inner journey.

In yogic traditions, Anahata, or the heart chakra is understood to be responsible for emotions such as love for others, self-love, empathy, compassion, understanding, kindness, generosity, and altruism. Its location in the middle of the chest, and on a physical level is thought to be related to the organs of the heart and lungs. On a spiritual level, it is considered the unifying chakra bringing wholeness, balance, and healing.

The format of the workshop – what to expect

We will start with gentle and restorative yoga poses designed to relax and expand the heart space. The yoga sessions is suitable for all levels of experience including begineers. Subtle gong sounds will complement the yoga, as you move the gong will encourage energy flow to the stretched areas of the body. We will focus on the heart chakra through restorative and stretching yoga postures, rejuvenating breathing techniques, releasing chanting practices, and cleansing and healing sound therapy techniques. We hope you will feel an emotional release and sense of rejuvenation. We finish with optional chanting (feel free to listen or join in!).

Following the yoga, chanting, and pranayama (breathing exercises) we will give you a 5-minute break. Once everyone is comfortably laying down, we will start the sound bath. You will not be required to do anything at this point – simply relax on your mat and enjoy. We will use a combination of different instruments including our gong, and crystal bowl to create a profound, and compelling experience.

We will finish the session with a group discussion and free organic tea. You will have an opportunity to share your experience with others and ask any questions at this point.

REFUND POLICY:

7 days in advance. Paypal charges will be deducted. WE DO NOT ISSUE REFUNDS FOR NON-ATTENDANCE.

WHAT TO BRING:

We provide yoga mats, blankets, pillows, and eye masks. We advise you to bring a bottle of water.

Medical conditions/prescribed medications/pregnancy: We advise those in the first trimester of pregnancy to abstain from our events. If you are pregnant, please, inform us before the event. If you have any medical conditions, are on a prescribed medication, are pregnant, or have any concerns, please, see your GP and inform him/her about attending our sound therapy sessions, this will allow your GP to give appropriate advice. If you currently experience or have a history of serious health issues (including mental health issues, operations, medical procedures, seizures, implants, special needs), please, inform us before the event.
