Quiet often we seem to go to forests, parks, woods, anywhere in nature, for walks. However, sometimes it can be very rewarding to go in nature just to relax and rejuvenate at some specific place. I call these places “natural sanctuaries”.
Natural sanctuaries are usually very quiet, calm, secluded places in nature where you can feel safe laying down and sleeping. I find that, usually, such places are separated from the rest of the park or woods by a natural fence made out of bushes or trees. Once discovered, it can be a very good idea to come to these spots whenever you feel down and in need of rejuvenation; maybe, when you are too tired to walk and too exhausted to be surrounded by people.
I sometimes can spend the whole day just relaxing and napping in such a place (I find it useful to bring lots of snacks and food so that you don’t have to move at all while you are in you sanctuary place). It can be very relaxing for your body to just lay down; you can also catch up on sleep, that most of us seem to be lacking… And all of this while your body is reconnecting to nature and grounding! If you haven’t tried it yet, I really recommend it!
Do you have a quiet secluded place in nature where you go to when you need to rejuvenate? Is it in a park, woods, or maybe in the end of your garden? Do you find that relaxing in these places helps you rejuvenate quicker than indoors?
We would love to hear your stories!
