Spring and summer are best times to enjoy the vividness of colors – bright and fresh, they are in their highest point, creating a wonderful palette of colors whenever you go into nature! Indeed, you can find all the colors here, and they are all full of such intensity!
We recommend using this opportunity to creatively work with colors! The best way is to work directly with the color you feel drawn to.
For instance, if it is the red of the rose that really attracts your attention, we recommend coming closer to the plant and concentrating on the color, maybe, keeping a clear mindful state of being in the meanwhile. What do you notice about the plant? How the color affects you? Do you feel any thoughts or emotions arising in relation to it? Try to be as objective as possible, not judging what comes into your mind. After you have finished the practice, it can be useful to write all your thoughts down for reviewing later – you are likely to notice something new about your experience!
Another way to make use of the colors is to paint them, or take pictures. When you are painting the color, you are working directly with it, fully engaging your senses. Your attention is also heightened when you are taking pictures – for some, they can be as attentive when taking pictures as when painting.
Have you ever worked with colors? Maybe, you read an article about color therapy? Did you find this post useful?
We would love to hear your thoughts!
