It is yet the 2nd day of #30dayswild challenge and summer (and addressing those who live in England – remember, there is no “bad” weather – it is all about your attitude)!
As part of today’s challenge, I bravely went outside in the garden (in the windy weather!) to ground, have lunch and enjoy nature. And guess what – the weather has suddenly changed and the sun appeared! On top of that, I managed to attract the attention of a neighbour cat (I desperately tried to make friends with him/her for almost a year with no success whatsoever!) Seeing me harmlessly and peacefully having lunch, he just approached me (instead of rushing out of the garden, like he usually does), and started looking at me with a question in his eyes: “Having anything tasty?” After trying to feed him everything starting from tomato and ending with chickpeas, I understood that there was no chance to keep my fish – he was surely after it! Sharing my lunch with a neighbor cat, which, I hope, resulted in us making friends (at least, “friends with benefits” – food benefits for the cat!) was one of the most uplifting and inspiring experiences of the day!
The conclusion from my experience – never be scared to try something new and something you might enjoy! Try not to find as many excuses as possible – because you will always find one, if you don’t want to do something (and weather can be a constant excuse for someone living in England, like us). Just go out and enjoy nature and the fresh air – it can make a big difference even if you spend 15 min outside, like I did. My mood definitely improved, and I feel much more energized, creative, and grateful for going outside and enjoying nature, despite the chilly weather. And guess what – that was definitely one of my most pleasant lunches I have had!
Enjoy summer and nature!! And follow us on twitter @Holistic_H_T for more of our wild challenges!
